My Pregnancy, Week 36

Note: I may earn money or products from the companies, products, or links mentioned in this post.

I have finally reached week 36! It’s hard to believe things are coming to an end for pregnancy and only beginning for mommy-hood! As of today I am 36 weeks and 3 days. Only 26 days left until my due date! It’s scary and exciting at the same time!

My Pregnancy, Week 36Movement
As far as pregnancy goes, I have one little squirmy guy here! My last appointment two weeks ago, I could tell that he had already lowered some, and the doctor confirmed it. Now, I can feel him pressing against my pelvis bones! I am also really anxious to know if he is in the right position- the head down position. I guess we will find out soon!

Left Side
As far as which side this little guys likes more, it’s definitely my left side! So often I look down and see this little bulge on my left side that makes my stomach look lope-sided! It is so cute, it just makes me melt!

Tums
As far as heartburn, tums have become my best friend! It seems like during the day I am fine, and then as soon as I think about dinner or going to bed, my heartburn is just terrible! I am definitely looking forward to not having it anymore, once he comes!

Packing
I still have yet to pack for the hospital! I know I need to, but I am so worried I am going to forget something or pack too much! I have gotten some ideas from people, and I know socks is one of the big items! At least that is one thing on my list!

  1. You got some AWESOME maternity pictures, Kathryn. I absolutely love them!

As far as packing for the hospital goes, you could do what I did (to avoid over-packing). I grabbed one relatively small suitcase and decided everything the three of us will need is going to fit in this one suitcase. I'll admit it's bulging a little bit, but I certainly don't feel any desire to pack anymore items.

The only things missing from the suitcase are our toiletries which we've decided will simply go in a smaller toiletries bag since we're still using most of those items. And we're also missing a laptop since we're still using them too.

  2. I love your pictures 🙂

I had terrible heartburn the last trimester with boy my boys. But the nice thing is as soon as they were born it was totally gone.

  6. Hi, I just stumbled upon your blog via link referral and have to say I'm finding it very inspiring! Congrats on your pregnancy! I have a 6 month old daughter and I can still remember that anxious feeling as I got toward the end of my pregnancy. I had my bag "mostly" packed when my water broke in the middle of the night (I was almost a week over due so I really should have know better!) We quickly stuffed some more stuff in there and took off. It worked out just fine though, I didn't need nearly as much as I thought I would. So, try not to worry, you'll be fine 🙂

    God Bless,

  7. I'm so sorry that I haven't been by in awhile. I realized that your entries are no longer showing up on my blogger homepage, so I am missing them. Do you know how to fix that? Your entries show up on my actual site in the sidebar, but when I just quickly pop onto Blogger, which I've been doing a lot lately in the craziness, they aren't showing up in my little feed thing.

Anyhow, I LOVED this entry! I LOVE, love, love all the maternity pictures! Your husband and you make such a cute couple. I love seeing pictures of the two of you together. 🙂 And I can't wait to see the two of you with your SON! Woohoo! I'll have to go become a fan of your blog and look at the other pictures. 🙂

One of my Xanga friends just gave birth on Mother's Day with her first baby (a boy!) when she was only 36 weeks along! She, too, thought she would have more time to get a few last-minute things done…and then surprise! But it ended up being a total God-thing because her husband is in the AF, and he was going to be gone for the two weeks right up until her due date. So it was really a good thing that Isaac came a month early so Daddy could be there!

I'm glad you and Adam are doing so well!

  8. Beautiful pictures!! I wish we would've thought to do pics when I was pregnant! I've never seen them done as beautifully as yours though! Also, thank you for including my blog in your list of military blogs! 🙂
