I like to people watch! Airports are one of the best places for that. Sitting there waiting to board your flight watching everyone around you. It’s fun! Also, parks, grocery stores, and even Starbucks, are great places to watch people around you.
Recently, while at Wal-Mart I have taken to noticing some of the crazy and strange people there. I mean there is even a whole site dedicated to funny people who shop at Wal-Mart and what they wear and do!
But as I was driving home the other day from Wal-Mart, it hit me: even though we see these people and judge them by what we see on the outside, God sees something totally different! We may see shabby clothes, funny hair, or even people who are on drugs, but God loves them and sees them as people who need Him. No matter what we see God sees someone special, someone He loves, and someone He can use for His glory.
The next time I start to people watch, I am going to try to remember that no matter how I view them, no matter how I may judge, even though I try not to, I will try seeing people through God’s eyes: special, and in need of His love!
People Need the Lord
"Everyday they pass me by, I can see it in their eyes. Empty people filled with care, Headed who knows where?" "On they go through private pain, Living fear to fear. Laughter hides their silent cries, Only Jesus hears." "People need the Lord, people need the Lord. At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door. People need the Lord, people need the Lord. When will we realize, people need the Lord?" "We are called to take His light To a world where wrong seems right. What could be too great a cost For sharing Life with one who's lost?" "Through His love our hearts can feel All the grief they bear. They must hear the Words of Life Only we can share." "People need the Lord, people need the Lord At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door. People need the Lord, people need the Lord. When will we realize that we must give our lives, For people need the Lord."
