Book Description:
“When her husband disappears into a mountain snowstorm one morning, Kathryn Jennings is flung into the world of ranching, banking, and business. Penniless and pregnant, Kathryn is determined to keep her land as a legacy for her child. The man who offers her a job seems to have an awful lot of secrets, but she is desperate. Most disconcerting of all is the uncanny familiarity she feels toward the badly scarred ranch hand who works in the dark shadows of the horse stables.” – Amazon.com
My Review:
This was my first time reading a book by Tamera Alexander, I had heard wonderful things about her books, and was very excited to read this one. I was not disappointed in any way. From the very beginning I was drawn in to this story, and did not want to put it down. There is something about the way Tamera Alexander writes that is refreshing and different, and definitely makes me want to read more of her books. I loved how the story kept me guessing until the end, not knowing what would happen with certain characters or events. This first book by Tamera Alexander is definitely a success, and I look forward to reading the next few in the series!
Storyline:
Kathryn Jennings married the love of her life, Larson Jennings, but somehow along the way disappointments came and married life was not what she expected with him. When one day he goes into town and does not come back, Kathryn’s life is changed forever. She struggles to keep her husband’s dream of the ranch alive, and also support herself. Although her husband has not come back she knows in her heart he is still alive. When a mysterious stranger with scars so bad he does not show his face, comes into town, Kathryn wonders at her attraction to him. Is this her long-lost husband or just someone who reminds her of him? Through many events both Kathryn and her husband find faith in God, and through God’s grace are rekindled in their love for each other.
If you loved Francine River’s Redeeming Love, then this is one book you should definitely check out!

That looks good! And thank you so much for the award 🙂
I need to read this. It sounds good! Was it weird reading a book about a fellow Kathryn?! 😛 Have a blessed day!
Ooooh…I may have to check this out! I've been wondering if I should find a new writer. =) I have tendency to find one I like and not read much else.
P.S. You have an award on my blog!
I read this book several months ago.. pretty good series, except for the last one is too steamy for my taste. It seems to dwell more on sex and desire than the other two, more godly books did.
