devotional I am very picky about my devotionals. There are some that just have nice sentiments, there are some that just don’t speak to me, and then there are the few and far between that are just what my soul needs. I recently, finished A Happy Home by Laura Moore and was thrilled with how this devotional touched my soul!

This devotional is only for 10 days, but I feel like I learned a lot during the past 10 days that I read it. Not only did I feel like she was talking directly to me, but I also felt convicted, uplifted, and refreshed. Each devotional includes a corresponding verse, a question and challenge for you to reflect and respond on, and a short prayer.

The topics of the devotional include homemaking, marriage, and motherhood and are sure to be helpful to any mother and wife. Use this devotional for some simple thoughts to start your day or as a way to study and reflect on the thoughts and on God’s Word. I know you are going to love Laura’s down-to-earth attitude and thoughts!

A Note From the Author:

“When I sat down to write this devotional I grabbed a notebook and pen and reflected on the previous year of hard lessons learned about our own home.  Each hard lesson learned resulted in having a home that ultimately brings God glory.  This book is more of an encouragement through lessons learned than a how-to manual.
Each day there is a good devotional to read, a reflect and respond section, and then finishes with time in prayer.  Having a happy home is more than a swept floor and clean dishes. I wanted the people that picked up this book to draw encouragement from these ten days thinking about their own home.  We’ll talk about our marriages, motherhood, keeping order, and bringing laughter back into our homes. Hope you’ll join in!” – Laura
