Welcome to my New WordPress Blog!

Welcome!
As some of you know I have been talking about some new changes coming to Singing Through the Rain and I am very excited to now have a WordPress blog. I feel WordPress is the next step in growing your blog (a very big one) and am so glad I had Courtney at Media Mom to help. But that’s a post for another day, what about all the questions you must have?
1. Is your blog going to be any different besides the design?
My blog is still the same old blog. Yes, I switched to WordPress, but I am still going to be writing about the same topics with one exception: I am hoping to start focusing on the topic of marriage a lot more.
2. Why did you decide to switch to WordPress?
After my last design change to my old blog, I realized that I had reached the extent of my knowledge of blogging and design. I knew if I wanted something better the to hire someone. I also had been going back and forth with the thought of switching to WordPress. I know that all the bigger bloggers do it, and I knew if I wanted to continue growing and go where I am going with this blog, that I was going to have to switch to WordPress as well. That is pretty much the extent of it. I will continue with the story of how it all came about in one of my next blog posts.
3. Will we still get updates even though you switched to a new blog?
Yes, you will! If you subscribed by email before then you will still get email updates, if you subscribed by RSS then you will still get those updates as well and so on. Everything will still be the same in that aspect.
5. What is the best way to subscribe to this new blog?
I’m so glad you asked! I made a very tough decision and decided not to add the Google Connect button to this new blog. Those who do follow by Google Connect currently will still get my updates, but I am not offering Google Connect as a following option for new subscribers. The best ways to follow along and get my updates are: subscribe by RSS with Goggle Reader (see my post about subscribing by RSS), subscribe by Email (see side bar), follow along through Networked Blogs or keep up through my new and improved Facebook Page!
So what do YOU think? How do you like my new blog?
Even though today is still the first day of my new blog, please bear with me as I get used to WordPress and everything else here. You may also see a lot of guest posts until after my husband deploys as we want to spend as much time together as a family as we can. Thank you for your understanding.

It looks great! I love the design! I just got a new design on my blog on here, too. Well, I did back in May because I won a giveaway to have mine redone, but I’m hardly on here, so it seems like it was just done. Haha. I’m glad I can still follow you with GFC!
