Wednesday Confessions: The Shower??

Note: I may earn money or products from the companies, products, or links mentioned in this post.

My confession today is kind of funny, at least to me it is!

My confession:
I do a lot of my thinking in the shower, it’s my quiet place.

For me, it’s the only place I can get alone by myself, unless of course the baby is in there with me. But it’s quiet, and it’s a time I am finally alone with my thoughts from the day. I actually come up with a lot of ideas for my blog posts there too. I also find it easier to pray there, because I am alone and able to concentrate more. It’s just an all-around great place to think! I also like to go there when I am upset or sick. It always makes me feel better.

What about you? Where do you like to go to think, pray, and have a quiet space?

  1. Yup! Mine too!! What is up with that? I still get interrupted in the shower but it's the place I also get the most motivated with my lists, how to start my day, etc.

    Ah well… I'll take it! Hehe…

  2. Mine too!! Its the only time where I can actually think uninterrupted and managed to get complete thoughts out of my brain.

  3. Haha! I am so glad I'm not alone in this! I do some of my best thinking and blog post writing in the shower! I have also found, over the past several years, that I can focus and pray in the shower… Really talk to God about things in my life. Even though I'm alone most of the time (because of this deployment) I still really feel like it's one of the few places I can just be alone with God and my thoughts.

  4. That's my favorite place to think too! My husband always asks…what's wrong, because sometimes I'll just stand under the water & stare off in to space ;o) I'm usually thinking, daydreaming, or praying.

  5. me too, i think i need a water proof notepad for my shower. by the way i am glad that wednesday confession is back

  6. Me TOO! Its one of my favorite places to just pray and spend time with God, but just wait till that little boy gets a little bigger. I have to make sure I lock the door or my big kids will just come right in and start talking like that don't even notice what I'm doing lol! We try really hard to teach them privacy but I guess mom doesn't count!

  7. It must be a "mom" thing. I was just talking about this with my best friend yesterday – I do most of my best thinking in the shower! As does she! LOL

  8. Me three! Or four, or five. I love a nice long hot shower to think and relax and have a bit of me-time 🙂
