Bedtime can be a rough time for kids. For little ones, it’s hard to transition from a hard day of play to resting their bodies. A good night’s sleep is important for kids and the best way to to help with that is by having a simple and easy bedtime routine.

Orajel™ has come up with a great bedtime routine for kids and I was asked to blog about it. I really love what Orajel™ stands for and how they want to help kids and I think you will too!

The best Bedtime Routine for Kids!

The Three “B’s” Bedtime Routine

The key to this very simple bedtime routine is that each step all starts with the letter “B.” My kids loved that because it’s easy to remember, plus we get to work on “B” sounds and spelling “B” words. Here are the three easy steps:

Step 1: Brush
Before bed your child will need to brush their teeth. Make it extra fun with Orajel™ PAW Patrol™ products! They are a great way to transition your little ones to fluoride toothpaste to help protect against cavities and to help keep young teeth and gums healthy.

Watch your child brush their teeth to make sure they get all the right spots! Help them if they need it. Proper brushing is important to help prevent tooth decay in children. Here’s how I help my son brush his teeth:

Step 2: Book
This next step is a big and important part of your bedtime routine. My kids have always loved having us read books to them before bedtime and I have always loved that special time with them.

Orajel™ and Scholastic have partnered together to help bring the love of reading and reading aloud to your family with the Read2Me program. I read the book, The Three Bees with my kids and they just loved it! It talks about how three bees learn the importance of a nightly bedtime routine (brush, book, bed) and how it helps them get the best flowers the next morning!

“Did you know reading to your kids out loud builds vocabulary and fundamental literacy skills? Just like brushing your teeth, being read to every day is crucial to establish strong habits and foster healthy development.” – Orajel™

Step 3: Bed
Now, just like the bees, it’s time for your little ones to go to bed. Tuck them in, turn out the lights, and wish them sweet dreams. Hopefully they will dream about all the wonderful things they can discover the next time you read aloud to them!

What about YOU? What is your favorite book to read aloud to your kids?
