Happy Mother’s Day to all you beautiful mothers out there! Here is my Mother’s Day post.

Dear Adam,
Today is Mother’s Day. It’s very special because this is my first Mother’s Day with you. Last year I was cradling you in my tummy, this year I am cradling you in my arms, and let me tell you, there’s nothing like it! I have been your mommy now for very close to a year, and I have enjoyed every moment of it! You make me smile and laugh and you bring joy to my life every day. I am so glad God has blessed me with you!

My Boy
My Boy, so much more than just a son you are my joy the very thing that gives me meaning you’ve made my life so special your my boy And from the very day that you were born, I thank God above for all the days that we’ve had and have yet to come
My Boy, thanks for each and every treasure that you gave every smile and every teardrop
every special moment that I’ve saved I tell you here and now for all to see, just how glad I am that you came into my life and how proud you’ve made me
My Boy so much more than just a son you are my joy

A Mother’s Love

by Helen Steiner Rice
A Mother’s love is something
that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .

It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .

It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God’s tender guiding hand.

To My Son
© Amy R. Campbell
Oh how the years go by,
Oh how time can certainly fly.
From once just a thought in far away dreams,
now into my arms and in my eyes gleam
the presence of you.
Your laughter and smiles
which go on for miles,
warms my heart and soul.

You’re growing up so fast,
as I wish each moment with you to last forever.
My little boy will someday be a man
and right by your side I will forever stand.
I will pick up the pieces when you fall,
I will hold your hand and help you stand tall.
And when the day comes when you are on your own,
never feel that you are alone.
No matter how near or far apart
I am always right there in your heart.
Always remember whatever you go through
that no matter what, I will always love you.

  1. beautiful! I love that helen steiner rice poem too, I've read it before. I totally agree with you on how you feel as a mom, yet somehow words cannot totally capture all the emotion wrappend up in it. Hope you had a nice mother's day.
