Brooke Ashley is a friend of mine and a wonderful photographer. She asked me to write a blog post about her photography and as a former client and friend  I of course said I would be delighted! As a special treat I will also be highlighting a few of my photos that have been taken by her and also some friends of mine who have had photos taken by her. I hope you enjoy!

Brooke Ashley takes amazing photographs, but she doesn’t specialize in just one kind, she does it all! From weddings to newborns, Brooke has a special touch in every single area. Here are just a few of the different kinds of photography Brooke does.

Brooke also does photography for a very special organization called Operation Love reunited. Operation Love reunited is, “A group made up of photographers who donate sessions and albums to Warfighters – Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines – who are deploying for an overseas tour of duty, already deployed overseas, or returning home from an overseas deployment.” As a military wife herself, Brooke understands the sacrifices and hardships military families endure. She gives back by helping capture wonderful memories of military homecomings for many families. Here are just a few from her Op Love Sessions:

As you can see, Brooke is an amazing photographer who loves her job. I have enjoyed using her as a photographer several times and she will also be taking our Christmas photos! Here is a review I wrote after she did my maternity session.

My name is Brooke and I am a happy, young military wife and mommy. Taking pictures was always a hobby of mine, but it wasn’t until I met my husband that I even considered making it my career. My husband saw something special in my photos and bought me my first SLR camera, pushing me to make something of my hobby.

To me, photography is so much more than just a picture. I love capturing a real moment in time, not just a cookie-cutter-overly-posed picture you’ve seen a hundred times before. I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little! And I hope that we can work together real soon!
