Ireland

I have always liked the name for Ireland: “The Emerald Island.” It sounds so exotic and so pretty. I know that is it is named so because of how green everything is there. Probably also because of all the rain they get.
My husband and I plan on going to Ireland someday especially if he was ever stationed overseas nearby in England. And I hold on to that dream, knowing that eventually we will be able to save some money to go, even if it is many years from now! There are so many things I would love to go and visit and see, and I would love even meeting the people there, because their accents are so fun to listen to!
There would be so many castles I would want to visit…
Brightly painted shops on cobblestone roads to shop in…
And beautiful cliffs that show the majesty of God’s Creation.
What about you? Have you ever been to Ireland? What is something you dream of doing one day?
Its absolutely beautiful!!
Thats a top 2 of mine! but only because I'm half irish and am mildly obsessed with that part of my heritage đ
We went to Ireland before Chad deployed last time, and it's hands down our favorite country we've been to! We loved the Cliffs, we went to so many beautiful places there! We only spent 2 days in Dublin and that was more than enough. It's a fine large city with many great things to see, but I loved the country side and everything we saw. We spent 8 days/8 nights there and we want to go back! If you get stationed in Europe, you can get very cheap flights to Ireland!
WOW you won't believe htis my friend but I've had the same dream lol. I love, love, love, Celtic music and Riverdance. My dream is actually to travel through Europe especially Ireland, Italy, Scotland, Switzerland and Spain! My sister and I had two pen pals from Scotland and yes..we loved their accent! We also loved and still love Westlife an Irish boy band. Have you heard of them? Awwww they are phenomanol. We always wished they would tour the US to go see them lol. Every time I see the sound of music I wanna go even more so I can see the Alps! We almost got tried to get stationed in Germany but God had other plans. Lord-willing we'll go to Europe one day;D Maybe we can go together…that would be sweet<3
So, I haven't been to Ireland. Never really thought about it. But your post has definitely put it on the list!! I love castles. There's one in Scotland that I particularly want to see. Those colorful shops look so fun!!! I would love for that to be in my neighborhood (if I was a city dwelling person). You'll get there! Someday! đ
A friend of mine visited with her husband earlier this year and it looked like a nice trips… although filled with many many many pub stops!
I spent Easter in Ireland about five years ago and it's true what they say: The grass really is greener on the other side!
I loved Ireland and got to see the actual city where my family is from, which was pretty spectacular. I hope you're able to go some day.
I studied abroad in Scotland so was real close to Ireland and went a couple of times…ohmygoodness gracious, it is BEAUTIFUL. And depending where you go in Ireland (North or South), the people are sweethearts.
I pray you are able to visit real soon. It truly takes your breath away.
I want to go so bad! If my husband stays in the 20 years we would love to go there, England and Scotland using Space-A and just travel around for a month.
I've always wanted to go to England, but a swing by Ireland would be a must!
This looks amazing!! I have wanted to go all my life, and these pictures are driving my desires more! My husband has been briefly and wants to go back as well.
p.s. I'm a new follower and found your blog on the milspouse round-up đ
I've never been to Ireland but I want to! There are so many places I'd love to go to. I'd love to get stationed in Germany and go backpacking through Europe. And I've always wanted to go to Australia.
Thanks for linking up on the weekly roundup! Have a great weekend!
Make sure you come & visit Cork. The scenery here is fantastic. Make sure to bring your umbrella though. There is a great little quote from an Irish comedien that says "she'd be a great little country if only you could roof her"
Hopefully I'll get to visit the U.S one day.
Enjoying your blog.
