A Very Pink Baby Shower!

Note: I may earn money or products from the companies, products, or links mentioned in this post.

Ever since we found out we were having a little girl (ok even before that!), I have been excited to do what I call the “pink” thing with cute little pink dresses and bows, and lots of pink in the baby’s room. My friend offered to throw me a baby shower, and it definitely was not short on cute, pink things either! We had a wonderful time, and I am excited to show you a few of the pictures.

We planned the date around my mom being able to come up for the shower, but apparently it was a bad a date for a lot of other people because most people weren’t able to make it. It was okay though, it was still a ton of fun and besides my friend Kayla who threw the shower, myself and my mom four other friends were able to make it.

My mom and I got to Kayla’s house early and were able to help with the making of the food and a little of the preparations Everything turned out DELICIOUS!

The menu was:

  • Fried Chicken
  • Chips and Dip
  • Potato Salad
  • Fruit Salad – Grapes, apples, and strawberries mixed with cool whip, fluff, and cherry jello mix!
  • Homemade Punch

Baby Shower FoodEveryone started arriving around 11:30 and we decided to eat all the yummy food first! We sat around and chatted and ate and everyone got to know each other a little. Next, my friend Kayla started the games, and let me tell you she was prepared!

The first game was with the use of toilet paper. We broke up into teams of two and had to use toilet paper make our partner a “diaper.” It was hilarious! Sadly, no one would let me post those pictures online.

Baby Shower GamesOther games included, “The Price is Right” where guests had to guess the prices of baby items that had been bought off my registry. It was a lot of fun, and my friends were really good at it too! Next, we played the “diaper game” where you have to guess what kind of chocolates are in each diaper. They are melted in and smooshed down a bit, so it was pretty hard!

We also played Baby Scattergories, and a game where we were given a list of ten baby-related words and ten non-related baby words and had to make a story using as many of them as we could. It was so fun to hear everyone’s creativity!

Next, I opened gifts. I am so thankful for everything we got, a lot of it was things we needed which was SO nice! I had a lot of pictures taken of me opening presents, sadly none of them are that great of shots of me, but clearly you can see some of the cute gifts I got!

I also received this darling pink diaper cake from my friend Kayla. The top band on the diaper cake is a baby headband, and the bottom is a tutu used with a larger headband, and tulle. Isn’t it just adorable?

All-in-all it was a wonderful baby shower and a wonderful fun-filled day. I am so blessed by my friend Kayla in that she threw me such a beautiful baby shower!

What was your baby shower(s) like?
