Love in the Form of Skype

If you are a military family then you already know how much Skype plays a part in the lives of military families. Being able to see family members even though miles apart makes being apart just a little easier.

Even though my son does not understand Skype as fully as we do, he enjoys watching his daddy and his daddy enjoys watching him play and babble and just be a toddler.

My husband was able to capture the picture below the other day while we were talking and I think it shows exactly what the quote says: that even though we are far apart we are still a family and we will always love each other.

  1. I love that quote. Skype is amazing. When the Hubby was traveling all the time we Skyped almost every night.
I’m so thankful that it’s there for my friends to see their husbands who are away.

    1. Yes, it is! I love that it is available for all to use and that is transcends the distance between families. so awesome! 🙂

  2. Honestly we did not use Skype for our first deployment but we may for the second one. We used Yahoo Instant Messenger. It was rough with lousy connections.
The times we did get to successfully use it were amazing though! Technology now plays a huge part in how service members communicate with their families back home. So glad technology is being friendly to you!

    1. Oh really? Yeah I do like Yahoo messenger too. I have heard good things about it. I think I have an account, but I haven’t been on it in forever! Can you play games on it? I need to check it out again! Thanks for commenting! 🙂

  3. Look how happy that Daddy looks! That smile is from ear-to-ear. Last night, we tried a similar feature through Google TV (we don’t have Google TV but our friends do) so although we were talking to them on our computer, they could see us on their flatscreen television and they could zoom in and out and pan the room so we could see the kiddos. It was awesome. So happy for technology so we can keep in touch with those we love.

    1. Yup! He loves talking to his little boy and me of course! haha. I have heard good things about Google TV! That is cool that they could do that. 🙂

  4. love the quote

    1. Thanks Jessica! I know I don’t know what we would do without it! I can only imagine what a difference it made for you guys! 🙂
