Five Friday Finds

Note: I may earn money or products from the companies, products, or links mentioned in this post.

So I decided to start doing this every week as long as I have enough finds to post! Click on the picture above to go to Ordinary Inspirations’ Blog to link up and do your own 5 Friday Finds!

The Five Friday Finds can be…
-5 blogs/posts you read
-5 things you learned this week

-5 things you are looking forward to

-5 things you found/bought this week
-5 things …. (be creative)!

1. A Book
I have not read this book, but I found it while browsing through blogs. It is a book written about military wives, for military wives, and I thought it looked really good!

Intertwined with the love of a soldier and the beauty of true friendship, Vino in Vo follows three Army wives surviving their husbands’ tour of Iraq through an unexpected friendship. Stationed in Italy, they uncover a quaint vineyard where they discover what is missing in their lives.

2. A Picture

My husband found this and it just made me smile!

3. Another Picture

I found this through a friend on facebook, and had to share it. I know it’s hard to read so here is what it says:

I’ve Got Your Back

I am a small and precious child,
my dad’s been sent to fight…
The only place I’ll see his face,
is in my dreams at night.

He will be gone too many days
For my young mind to keep track.
I may be sad, but I am proud.
My daddy’s got your back.

I am a caring mother.
My son has gone to war…
My mind is filled with worries
that I’ve never known before.

Everyday I try to keep
my thoughts from turning black.
I may be scared, but I am proud.
My son has got your back.

I am a strong and loving wife,
my husband’s soon to go.
There are times I’m terrified
in ways most never know.

I bite my lip, and force a smile,
I watch my husband pack…
My heart may break, but I am proud.
My husband’s got your back…

I am the soldier who’s been sent
Serving Proudly, standing tall.
I fight for freedom, yours and mine
by answering this call.

I do my job while knowing
the thanks it sometimes lacks.
Say a prayer that I’ll come home.
It’s me who’s got your back.

4. A Blog Post
I know I posted about this blog last week, but this is a different post and just as good! This week it was about listening, and definitely convicted me of a few things!

“Relationships start to break down when both parties keep talking and stop listening. Being together, building intimacy, and growing in oneness require that we LISTEN. When we stop listening, we stop loving.”

5. A Contest

Found this through the Army Wives tv show fan page!

“What makes your military hero extra-special in addition to serving their country? Tell us how they inspire you and what car they should drive. Your hero could win $25,000 towards the purchase of a new car on AutoTrader.com and you could win $500 too!
