opinionsThank you all for your nice comments on my previous post, I really do appreciate everyone who reads my blog! That being said I am sorry I have not been posting regularly, but with the baby coming in approximately 5 weeks, I am busy getting the house cleaned and all the last minute things done that I can! I also am working on all the guests posts I have been sent, and I wanted to thank everyone who sent one. While I am having Adam, there will be approximately 20 wonderful guest posts by some great bloggers! I am excited to share their posts with you.

As for the title of this post: opinions, I have been thinking about changing some things with this blog, but I wanted to hear your thoughts and of course opinions about it before I did anything major. I am thinking about getting a custom domain. My questions for you are: does it mess up your blog? Will it automatically switch over? Will all your followers automatically be taken to the new page automatically? As far as the custom domain, if I did change it would not be called “singing in the rain” anymore. It would have a military theme to it, and it is a secret for now. As far as content goes, I would still be blogging about the same stuff, just the look of the blog, and the header and theme would now be different. How do you as readers feel about that? Or would you rather I kept with the theme of “singing in the rain”? I would love to know what you think!

Also, I have been thinking about starting a fan page for this blog on facebook. I know a lot of bloggers do it, but I wanted to know what you the readers thought about it. Is it worth it? And would you “LIKE” it as facebook puts it.

I am also hoping that I can still keep up with this blog after I have the baby. I know people with five plus children do it, but I do want to keep my family first as well. I love writing in this blog and I hope that no matter what I can always find a few minutes to keep writing here!

  1. Hmmm…I love it when I'm asked my opinion. LOL!
I say don't make any decisions until after baby comes because Adam is about to rock your world of time management and emotions. Let Adam decide when he gets here. You're already a step ahead by being cautious of your time.

  2. I agree with MOMSWEB – wait until Adam gets here, friend. Then you will know… 😉
i think the blog looks great! although I haven't been around your blog as long as some others, lol. Your decision!
How are you doing, anyway? Any belly pics, lol? 🙂
    praying for you!

  5. The first question, well honestly I think only you can decide that and really it's your blog, no one elses opinion should have much say, that's just my opinion! 🙂

As to blogging after Adam's here, the first weeks, they don't do a lot girl! They eat, sleep, and well the diaper changes…as time goes on he'll get more sociable and take more time. You'll find a balance. Me personally I need my "me" time. My family comes 2nd after GOD and then online stuff is down on the list. For me I normally blog at night after the kids are in bed, with a newborn the schedule is not as easy to determine, but I've still found that I wanted and needed to write and I wanted to share my baby with my friends! 🙂

You'll figure it all out once he's here. Be patient with yourself and once Adam's here you'll find a new "online" life too.

  6. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm a new follower of yours! I'm sure you'll be able to get back into the groove after your sweet baby is born. Like Christy says, they don't do a whole lot for a while. My son would take 3 hour naps at first! I loved it! 🙂 Glad to "meet" you!
